Senior Financial Analyst

Provide training to others within the department in areas including: financial modeling, critical thinking, reporting structure and format, oral communication & written communication
Analyze large and/or small quantities of data at the detailed level and provide controller with management level summaries
Compile details of current and past trends using key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, liabilities and assets
Monitor existing performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
Assist with the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Modeling Tools
Assist with the implementation and work with a Business Intelligence Tool, Dashboard reports and management summaries of financial information
Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and value added enhancements
Provide for all financial reporting needs
Assist with the development of financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives
Prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations, journal entries for month-end closing and analysis for accrual accounts as requested
Perform full consolidations
Supporting Controller with detailed in-depth analysis for areas of the business as requested
Prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations and analysis for accrual accounts as requested
Preparation of written communication and financial presentations
Establish and monitor co-worker performance and developmental goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals, and administer salary adjustments as required
Perform other tasks as assigned
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the field
Strong background and understanding of accounting concepts
Strong analytical skills
Strong communication skills; capable of presenting financial information in an easy-to-understand format.
Familiar with concepts, practices and procedures of financial analysis & planning
Advanced proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft applications.
Must organize/prioritize work, manage multiple tasks and projects and function effectively as a team member
Experience in computer based accounting systems
Food industry experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
